Andrea Carta is a drummer, teacher, and composer based in Rotterdam, NL.


Born in Sardinia, Italy, Andrea has been drawn to music since his childhood. 

He started playing drums at the age of 10, taking part at an early age to several important 

Jazz workshops and masterclasses around Italy, such as Nuoro Jazz and Umbria Jazz.


In 2017 he was admitted for a Bachelor program

to the prestigious Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, 

where he had the opportunity to take lessons from famous European Jazz drummers 

such as Hans van Oosterhout, Joost Patocka and Mark Schilders.


During his four years of study in The Netherlands 

Andrea met and worked with musicians

from all over the world, 

which allowed him to tour and take part to important festivals  

such as the “Calagonone Jazz Festival” in 2018, as well participating to international music contests such as the “Erasmus Jazz Price”.
